Lass, Foxglove and Princess Jalina in action
X181 Xtravagance was 5th this morning out of 12 boats. Great to see Tom Tait back on the water and racing as well as ever. Welcome back Tom.
Well done Barry Field and his team on Ilex. Ilex was the only boat that competed in all five of this year’s out of harbour races. Despite being becalmed on the way to Bembridge and being towed in, Ilex showed what rewards tenacity and perseverance could bring by braving the strong winds in the last pair of back to back races to complete a good series of results.
Lass and Princess Jalina slugged it out at the head of the XOD fleet for seven races. John Tremlett (Lass) came out on top with four wins, with David Palmer (Princess Jalina) scoring three. Credit too to Bill Mallam who steered Judy to third position. An Itchenor lock-out!
